The award, which was presented to the lawmaker who represents Ekeremo/Sagbama Federal Constituency of Bayelsa State, on Saturday in Lagos, recognises his sterling legislative journey and outstanding contributions to the 10th Assembly.
Hon. Agbedi's roles as Chairman of the House Committee on FCT Area Councils and Ancillary Matters, as well as his Chairmanship of the South-South Caucus of the House of Representatives, are exemplary. His leadership in ensuring the challenges of the Niger-Delta region remain at the forefront of legislative actions, and his efforts to ensure our Federal Capital is run efficiently and effectively, are commendable.
Furthermore, his mentorship and leadership to many young parliamentarians, his wealth of experience, and status as a bastion of institutional memory have been invaluable in guiding the House in its legislative functions. His commitment to the ideals of democracy and good governance has been evident in his legislative engagements and interactions within the House.
The House acknowledges and celebrates Hon. Agbedi's dedication to serving the Nigerian people and upholding the principles of democracy. His contributions to the development of robust legislative frameworks and his efforts in promoting national unity and cohesion are commendable.
