The leadership and entire membership of the House of Representatives rejoices with Alhaja Lateefat Gbajabiamila, mother of the immediate past Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, on the occasion of her 94th birthday anniversary. The House also extends its warmest wishes to Alhaja Lateefat Gbajabiamila on her 94th birthday, praying for her continued good health and many more years of blessings and prosperity.
As contained in a statement issued by House Spokesman, Rep. Akin Rotimi Jr., on Friday in Abuja , the House described Alhaja Gbajabiamila as not just a good mother, but a remarkable philanthropist whose commitment to humanity is unparalleled.
Commending Alhaja Gbajabiamila for her outstanding contributions to politics and community development, the statement noted her historic achievement as the first female elected as Chairperson of a Local Government Area in Lagos State.
The House further acknowledged her unwavering dedication to the Ansar-ud-Deen Society of Nigeria, highlighting her role as a pillar of the organisation.
On his part, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, PhD, praised Alhaja Gbajabiamila for her resilience and determination, noting that she has been a source of inspiration and guidance to many, including her dear son, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila.
"We are grateful to Alhaja Lateefat Gbajabiamila for her invaluable contributions to our nation and her role in shaping the lives of many individuals, including our immediate past Speaker, whom she nurtured with love, discipline, and wisdom," his statement read.
