The Nigeria House of Representatives felicitates the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, H.E. Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR on the occasion of his 72nd Birthday Anniversary.

The Green Chamber joins President Tinubu’s family, loved ones and the entire federation in celebrating this unique milestone; being his first as leader of the largest black population on earth and the West African region, respectively.

As one of Nigeria’s most notable political figures, Mr. President’s impactful contributions in over three decades, through pro-democracy advocacy, legislative representation and the enthronement of progressive politics, remain a reference point in our journey of nation-building.

Assuming the Office of President at a difficult time in our political history, the People’s House salutes ‘Asiwaju’ on this occasion, for his display of courage and forthrightness, as well as humility and empathy in policy decisions and overall leadership of the federation.

In the words of the Speaker of the House of Representatives Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, PhD, “while it is his desire, as a passionate leader, that his birthday celebrations should be low-key, it is also an attestation to his selfless leadership style, which we are all emulating.”

Speaker Abbas, who notes that the President gets better with age, urges Nigerians to pray for the Tinubu-led administration, and give him the maximum support to enable his Renewed Hope Agenda come to fruition.

On his part, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, recalls how President Tinubu has invested in people and institutions irrespective of tribe or religion to better the lot of the citizenry.

“Now that the people of Nigeria have collectively entrusted in your care the Presidency and the fortunes of the country, your vision for a united country and a virile economy is being achieved,” Rt. Hon. Kalu adds.

In re-affirming our support for the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr. President, the House prays for greater wisdom, grace, strength and health in this new age and in his leadership of the Nigerian federation.
